LETTER FROM THE EDITOR IN CHIEF

Once upon a time, a group of Australian editors and their many international colleagues had an idea.

They wanted to bring something entirely new and fresh to the senior level Australian reader, the thinkers and doers. They wished to revive some quality virtues from great magazines of the past. And they desired, being young at heart, to cast it all in contemporary form. 

Innovation had been their middle names, throughout long careers. Big ideas drove them – in business, finance, science, economics – but they also saw innovation…everywhere. They had a sense of humour and loved arts and culture, design and adventure travel. 

This “once upon” was two years ago. Since then, extensive research has been conducted with over 1000 C-suite managers and many other groups. 

We had long thought there was a gap to be filled at the top – with a new wave digital book, a website, phone reading, and ultimately a deluxe print annual edition – and we are not surprised, but gladdened to find that the response to our research was remarkably positive. 

So here is INNOVATIA. It is dedicated to and made for Every Thinking Australian.
